 Son and student of the landscaper and first painter at the Manufacture de Sèvres, Jules ANDRÉ, he also followed the courses of Isidore PILS and BERNE-BELLECOUR. From 1867, he exhibited at the Salon. He treated historical subjects with meticulousness.
